Withstanding the test of time, Debi Thomas is the creative pioneer behind Traditions! Her family’s Year-Round Holiday store has been open and thriving for over 25 years! Starting with a shared vision for an Antiques & Christmas shop, it quickly blossomed into an all holiday experience, and that lead to a collector-driven emphasis on Halloween! A one stop holiday shop, the Traditions Store has become world renown for its all-seasonal decor collections, vintage style delights and imaginative displays. They offer vast collections of today’s holiday artists and fill in with complementary goods to inspire decorating. But the spark that really drives this Canoga Park gem is the essence of family and a spirit of creativity that bonds it all together. Customers can feel the love and many are drawn to this unique store to reconnect to their “happy place.”

For well over a decade, Traditions has been carrying Johanna Parker’s licensed designs. Whether it was her initial collections from Primitives by Kathy or Bethany Lowe Designs and Transpac Imports and most recently, Magenta Inc, Traditions has been an influential supporter of Johanna’s career path in holiday product design! To help collectors find her licensed work, Debi created a source point for many fans of Johanna’s collectibles to connect to. Whether online or in store, Traditions has been a great go-to for her collectors, looking for past and current work!

With a growing emphasis on Made in America designs, handmade by holiday artists, Traditions has joined the JPD Partners in Craft family to offer exclusive, JPD-inspired collections! Curated in collaboration with Debi, Johanna and the makers, Traditions now has a special page on their website that celebrates these unique collectibles. Enjoy chenille figurines and paper craft decor by artist Pamela Plant of Stan And Stew, old-fashioned papier mache lanterns by artist Rachel Garrison of Vandolls Folk Art as well as signature spun cotton figurines by Crystal and Ben Sloane of Vintage by Crystal! It’s only a matter of time before more makers jump in to the merry mix!
