(B) Arthur Owl Merriwinter - SOLD - Thank you!

9.75 " tall (2 Part Candy Container)

Dapper in every way, Arthur is donning his holiday finery! A look of surprise in his stylized eyes will have you swooping in for a closer look at all his various attributes. His owlish head is formed in many layers of detail from intricately sculpted scallops that frame his eyes to the varied feathered textures that surround his head. With a vintage palette, he is painted in undertones of silvery green gray with ivory and sea green highlights. He wears a small handmade cardboard top hat featuring Johanna’s snowbird illustration with wandering red scrolls and holly leaves. To that, black and red glass glitter rims add a sparkly trim. A black bust to match his beak is trimmed in simple dots and stripes, and a red and silver tinsel twist adds a festive collar and base for his vintage crepe paper bow tie. He’s nestled inside a hand-formed, custom-fit base that doubles as a container. Dimensional snowy scallops frame a painted composition that surrounds this special cup where scrolling vines over variegated reds offer a magical perch for a pair of owls. This amazing hoot is dusted with mica for added snowy shimmer! What a stunning HOOT! A Johanna Parker Design original!
