Lora is a collector of all things seasonal with Halloween being a favorite! Anything vintage and folk art style captures her heart, so when her friends introduced her to Johanna Parker designs in 2018, she became an avid collector! As she learned that she could help others build their JPD collections too, Purple Box Boutique came to fruition! Lora finds true happiness in sharing things that she loves with likeminded collectors. There is nothing more satisfying than helping others complete their collections with items that are truly treasured and adored.
She is also a HUGE pet lover. Lora’s family has 2 dogs, Riley, an Australian Shepard, who is known to have a little anxiety, and their rescue dog, Oreo. Sweet Oreo has the biggest heart of any dog that she has ever had, and she cannot imagine life without her. Lora’s dogs bring so much happiness to her household and complete their little family. She found herself always collecting seasonal dog collars, leashes, bandanas, and such for every holiday as a way to include her pets in the joy each season. But, she could never find the exact look that she was seeking until the idea of creating her own pet accessories became a reality!
Totally inspired by some of Black Cat Jack’s photos in Johanna’s Instagram feed, she ordered a variety of Made in America, JPD fabrics and designed and sampled some playful pet accessories! Lora reached out to Johanna with her concept, and her timing and professional presentation were purrfect as Johanna had been waiting for just the right collaboration for pets! When Jack sniffed, inspected and approved his first Purple Box package of goodies from Lora, Johanna & JP said “YAY”, and Lora launched Purple Box Paws in collaboration with Johanna Parker Design!
Lora and Johanna are excited to debut their first collaboration with the new “Love for Luna” line, featuring Johanna’s whimsical moon and star prints with coordinating patterns in hues of vintage pink, ivory and black. The Love for Luna Pet Accessory line is ALL Handmade using industrial sewing machines, commercial grade webbing and fashionable gunmetal hardware for durability and a complete polished look. All items have been personally tested on Lora’s pets for daily use, which you can see in some of these photos!
